AbhiBus Travel Guarantee is a special protection plan that ensures you are compensated if your bus service is cancelled by the operator. By paying a small additional fee at the time of booking, you become eligible to receive 3X the ticket fare in case of a cancellation:

1X (100%) refund of your ticket fare after discount adjustments is credited back to your original payment source.
2X (200%) additional refund (i.e., Ticket Basic Fare – Bus Partner Discount) is issued as an AbhiBus Travel Guarantee Coupon, which you can use for your next bus booking.

How do I opt for AbhiBus Travel Guarantee?

It's simple — while booking your bus ticket on AbhiBus – on the passenger details page -

You'll see an option to add the Travel Guarantee before making payment.
The fee (starting as low as ₹9) will be automatically added to your total payable amount when you select it.
Once opted in and paid for, the feature will apply to that booking.

To avail Travel Guarantee, how many hours prior to journey if operator cancels the bus service will I get the benefit?

The AbhiBus Travel Guarantee applies regardless of how many hours before the journey the operator cancels the bus, as long as:

The bus is fully cancelled by the operator (not partially cancelled or delayed or bus service breakdown).
You had opted for the Travel Guarantee during booking.
You are logged in to your AbhiBus account.

Even last-minute cancellations are covered under this benefit.

What are the benefits of Travel Guarantee?

By opting for the Travel Guarantee, you enjoy maximum protection against last-minute cancellations by operator and increased prices. Here's what you get:

3X total value if your bus is cancelled by the operator:
- 1X refund (100% of ticket fare after discount adjustments) to your original payment source. Travel Guarantee Fee is not refunded.
- 2X refund (200% of Ticket Basic Fare – Bus Partner Discount) as a coupon for future use.
Coupons are fully redeemable once, valid for 7 days, and can be used for the same or less number of passengers as your original booking.
Peace of mind knowing you'll be compensated generously in case of disruptions.

How will I receive the refund amount after bus service cancellation?

If the operator cancels your bus:

100% of the ticket fare (excluding convenience fee, service charges, payment gateway charges, discounts, and Travel Guarantee fee) will be refunded automatically to your original payment method.
200% of the Ticket Basic Fare – Bus Partner Discount will be issued as an AbhiBus Travel Guarantee Coupon linked to your AbhiBus account mobile number.
You'll receive the coupon details via Whatsapp/Email and can use it for a new booking within 7 days of coupon issue date.

What will I get as a refund in case I cancel the booking myself?

If you cancel the booking, the Travel Guarantee does not apply.

The 3X refund benefit is only applicable when the bus operator cancels the service.
In case of user-initiated cancellation, your refund will follow the standard AbhiBus cancellation policy.
The Travel Guarantee fee paid at booking is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Example 1:

If your ticket fare is ₹1000 + ₹20 (Travel Guarantee Fee) and the bus service is cancelled:

₹1000 will be refunded to your original payment mode, and
₹2000 will be issued as an AbhiBus Travel Guarantee Coupon, locked to your account/mobile number
₹20 Travel Guarantee Fee is not refundable.

You can use the ₹2000 coupon for your next bus booking within 7 days of the coupon issue date.

Example 2:

If your ticket fare is ₹1000 + and ₹20 (Travel Guarantee Fee) and you availed a discount of Rs.100 and the bus service is cancelled:

₹900 will be refunded to your original payment mode, and
₹1800 will be issued as an AbhiBus Travel Guarantee Coupon, locked to your account/mobile number
₹20 Travel Guarantee Fee is not refundable.

You can use the ₹1800 coupon for your next bus booking within 7 days of the coupon issue date.

Example 3:

If your ticket fare is ₹1000 + and ₹20 (Travel Guarantee Fee) and you availed a bus partner discount of Rs.100 and AbhiBus discount of Rs.200 and the bus service is cancelled:

₹700 will be refunded to your original payment mode, and
₹1800 will be issued as an AbhiBus Travel Guarantee Coupon, locked to your account/mobile number
₹20 Travel Guarantee Fee is not refundable.

You can use the ₹1800 coupon for your next bus booking within 7 days of the coupon issue date.
