- Successful EV Pilot: KSRTC already operates 50 electric buses procured under the FAME II subsidy, covering distances primarily between Bengaluru and cities like Mysuru, Virajpet, Madikeri, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, and Shivamogga.

- Enhanced Range: The new buses will have a capacity to cover 180 km under a single charge, making them suitable for shorter routes. These 12-metre non-AC buses will also feature disabled-friendly amenities, aligning with inclusivity standards.
