TNSTC is all set to make this Deepavali special for travelers in Tamil Nadu. With over 10,975 buses operating during the festive season and multiple departure points, it's bound to be a convenient and enjoyable celebration for passengers.

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has revealed plans for special bus services during the upcoming Deepavali festival. The move aims to accommodate the surge in travel demand during the festive season. Here are the details:

TNSTC Diwali Special Buses Over 10,975 Buses in Operation

  • From November 9 to 11, TNSTC will operate 4,675 special buses alongside the 6,300 regular ones, totaling over 10,975 buses.
  • These buses will connect Chennai to various destinations across the state, ensuring convenient travel options for Deepavali celebrants.

TNSTC Special Buses Multiple Departure Points

  • Special buses will operate from six different locations in Chennai: Koyambedu Bus Stand, Poonamalle Bus Stand, Tambaram Bus Stand, Tambaram Railway Station, KK Nagar, and Madhavaram Bus Stand.
  • This diversified approach facilitates accessibility for passengers across the city.

Diwali Special Buses Routes and Destinations

  • Buses heading to Andhra Pradesh via Redhills, Ponneri, Gummudipoondi, and Oothukottai will depart from Madhavaram New Bus Stand.
  • Passengers bound for Puducherry, Cuddalore, and Chidambaram via the East Coast Road (ECR) can board buses at the KK Nagar Metropolitan Bus Stand.
  • Tindivanam, Vikravandi, Panrutti, and Kumbakonam are accessible from Tambaram Bus Stand.
  • Tambaram Railway Bus Station will serve routes to Tiruvannamalai, Panruti, Neyveli, Vadalur, Chidambaram, Kattumannarcoil, Puducherry, and Cuddalore via Tindivanam.
  • Passengers traveling to Vellore, Arani, Arcot, Tirupattur, Kanchipuram, Seiyaru, Hosur, Tiruthani, and Tirupati can board buses at Poonamalle Bus Stand.
  • Koyambedu Bus Station will connect passengers to destinations including Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Velanganni, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Sengottai, Thoothukudi, Tiruchendur, Nagercoil, Marthandam, Kanyakumari, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Karaikudi, Pudukottai, Ariyalur, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Tirupur, Pollachi, Erode, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru.
