The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has announced the operation of special buses to manage the anticipated rush during the upcoming weekend, coinciding with the auspicious day of Muhurtha Naal. With a large number of passengers expected to travel to and from Chennai, the department has made arrangements to facilitate their transportation.
TNSTC Increased Frequency to Accommodate Passengers for Muhurtha Naal
According to the release by the transport department, 400 special buses will be operating from Chennai starting from Friday. Additionally, another 400 special buses will be deployed from various cities including Coimbatore, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Trichy, Salem, and Bengaluru. This totals 800 special buses being made available to meet the travel demands during the weekend.
Online Bus Ticket Booking and Assistance at Bus Stands
To ensure a smooth travel experience, the department encourages passengers to book their tickets online. So far, 23,626 passengers have already booked their tickets in advance. Furthermore, officers will be deployed at bus stands to assist and streamline the operations of the special bus services, ensuring a convenient and hassle-free journey for passengers.
