Chaitra Navratri 2024 Puja Vidhi

Before Navratri Begins clean your puja place and surrounding area.

Day 1 (Pratipada):

Morning:

• Wake up early and take a bath.
• Take a vow (Sankalp) to observe the fast for the nine days of Navratri.

Ghatasthapana:

• Prepare a clean, earthen pot (Kalash).
• Place mango leaves (or peepal leaves) on the mouth of the Kalash.
• Fill the Kalash with water and add some rice grains.
• Place a coconut on the Kalash mouth, tying it with a piece of cloth.
• Consider placing a gold ornament or a coin on top of the coconut.
• Light a diya (oil lamp) near the Kalash.
• Worship the Kalash as a representation of Goddess Durga.

Maa Shailputri Puja:

• In the evening, place an idol or picture of Maa Shailputri in front of the Kalash.
• Offer her a puja thali with items like flowers, kumkum, haldi, roli, incense sticks, and a lit diya.
• Chant mantras dedicated to Maa Shailputri.
• Perform aarti.

Days 2-8:

Follow a similar routine each day, replacing the puja items and mantras according to the specific Navratri Devi being worshipped that day.
