Vizag, as Visakhapatnam is often called, is one of the most well-known tourist destinations in Andhra Pradesh. Located along the coast of Bay of Bengal and in the midst of the hill ranges of the Eastern Ghats, this interesting city has a wonderful topography of scenic valleys and hill ranges, enchanting caves, inviting lakes and cool beaches. How to reach Visakhapatnam :

By Air : Vizag is connected to several cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi and Bubaneshwar via air. The Visakhapatnam airport is approx.16 Kms away from the city centre and it is well serviced by taxis and buses.

By Train : The main track that connects Vishakhapatnam with other railheads lies on the Chennai to Kolkata main route, which is the reason why Vizag is well connected to cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.

By Bus : Regular bus services are available to places like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, Tirupati and many more cities.

Dolphin’s nose – This hill of historical importance, is shaped like a dolphin’s nose and is famous for the fact that it was used as a military camp by the Britishers. One can also find a temple, church and mosque on this hill.

Mother Mary’s Church – Built as a house earlier, on one of the highest Ross Hills, this structure has now been converted into a Roman Catholic church. The trail to the church is lined with shrines of the stations of the cross. It is also known for its wonderful view of the ship building yard from here.

Rishikonda Beach and Resort – A favourite with water-sports enthusiasts, this golden beach with its lush greenery is an ideal place to spend some quality family time and increase your fun quotient of this trip with swimming, water skiing and water surfing.
