Chennai, also known as ‘the gateway to South India, is the capital of Tamil Nadu and is located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay Of Bengal. By Train : The headquarters of the Southern Railways are situated in Chennai. Three major railway stations; The Chennai Central , The Chennai Egmore and Tambaram connect Chennai to several parts of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Cochin etc.

Must-visit attractions in Chennai :

The Marina Beach: This beautiful, never-ending, white sandy shore beach is one of the most frequented in Chennai and is a famous breeding ground for Olive Ridley Turtles. It is also identified as the longest natural beach in the country and second largest in the world.

MGR Film City – This famous structure has been erected in memory of the long reigning Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and darling of the masses, film actor MG Ramachandran. It houses an acting school, several artistic and unbelievable indoor and outdoor locations for shooting and the recently built MGR Knowledge Park.

Koli Hills – Literally translated, Koli Hills means ‘Mountain Of Death’. This mountain range is located in the Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu and is a naturally splendid visual owing to the fact that it has been unspoilt by commercialism.

VGP Golden Beach – Regarded as one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in Chennai, this beach is considered to be safe for swimming and bathing.

Fort St.George – Constructed during the British reign, this fort includes the famous monument of St.Mary’s Church and the St.George Museum which showcases several artefacts of that era.
